Robert Shaw

Rob Shaw MBA FICFor – is a Forester by training, and had a career with a large private forestry management company in UK Forestry for 26 years, including pioneering forestry certification for FSC and PEFC, and was Director for Safety, Environment and Quality for 8 years. Between 2016 and 2023 Rob worked at Soil Association Certification as Technical Manager, including Forest Management and Chain of Custody auditing and training around the world e.g. Japan, Indonesia, Chile, Portugal, South Africa, Ireland and UK. Rob Joined PEFC International in November 2023 in a new role as Head of Standards and Integrity to further develop PEFCs integrity and data systems and work with the Technical team on standards and Certification Body relations. Rob has a particular interest in digitalisation of auditing and certification systems, which was the focus of his dissertation when studying an Executive MBA at Edinburgh University Business School.
