Firstly, determine if any of the products you place or export to the EU market fall within the scope of EUDR.  If you export goods that contain any of the covered materials to the EU - whether raw or processed - you’ll need to provide detailed supply chain data that proves your products are deforestation-free. 

That means: 

• Tracing the commodities back to its origin or the plot of land where it was produced together with the geolocation.  
• Being able to collect, document and share supplier and product information including geolocation data, quantity, country of production and evidence it in the correct format to the EU Information System. 
• Acting early to avoid supply chain disruptions, EU market rejection, or loss of buyer trust. 

But it’s not just about avoiding risk and more administrative tasks. EUDR is an opportunity to build stronger, more transparent supply chains - and align with what customers and investors increasingly expect.
