A five-part series on the full path from calculating a Corporate Carbon Footprint to setting credible climate targets. It covers Scope 3 prioritization, data quality and emission factors, and reduction roadmaps. Sessions run from 13 October to 9 December 2026, and each can be attended on its own.

Calculating a Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) is only the starting point. The harder questions come afterwards: Which Scope 3 categories matter for your business? How reliable is your data? What should you reduce first, and which targets can you credibly commit to?

This five-part series, in collaboration with SAIM Consulting, follows that path, from the fundamentals of carbon accounting to carbon management. It is aimed at sustainability practitioners who need a practical introduction, a structured refresher, or support with the next step in their CCF work. The content is practical and focused on methodology. This is not a sales pitch.

Block 1: Carbon Accounting

Session 1 – Corporate Carbon Footprint Fundamentals
13 October 2026, 16:00 | 60 min
Why companies calculate a CCF, and how the calculation works, from Scope 1, 2 and 3 to boundaries and reporting. No prior carbon accounting knowledge is needed.

Session 2 – Understanding and Prioritizing Scope 3 Emissions
27 October 2026, 16:00 | 90 min
A walk through the 15 Scope 3 categories, with examples for different business models. You will learn how to run a pragmatic first relevance assessment and decide where to focus data collection.

Session 3 – Data Quality and Emission Factors
12 November 2026, 16:00 | 90 min
How to assess data quality, handle data gaps, and select and document emission factors, with a deep dive into Scope 3 Category 1 (purchased goods and services). The session includes a practical workflow for finding suitable ecoinvent datasets in the osapiens platform.

Block 2: Carbon Management

Session 4 – From Carbon Footprint to Reduction Roadmap
25 November 2026, 16:00 | 90 min
How to turn emission hotspots into concrete measures and evaluate them by impact, feasibility, cost and influence. You will see how to build a phased roadmap with owners, milestones and KPIs.

Session 5 – Setting Credible Corporate Climate Targets
9 December 2026, 16:00 | 90 min
The key design choices behind corporate climate targets, including absolute versus intensity targets, base year and time horizon. The session also covers the requirements and process of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
