Follow the Money: Spotting Money-Laundering Risk in Your Supply Chain
The EU’s new Anti-Money-Laundering package replaces today’s directive-based patchwork with a single rulebook. The AML Regulation (AMLR) applies directly in every member state from July 10, 2027, and the new EU Anti-Money Laundering Authority (AMLA), operational since mid-2025 and based in Frankfurt, takes over direct supervision of roughly 40 of the highest-risk financial groups from 2028, alongside a stronger role coordinating national supervisors and financial intelligence units.
For companies running AML due diligence on business partners, the rulebook was never the hard part — the data is. Who ultimately owns or controls a given company? Which jurisdictions are structurally built for financial secrecy rather than disclosure? And how do you get consistent answers across hundreds or thousands of business partners instead of a different process for each one?
This session bundles two pieces built to answer that. The AML Questionnaire is a standardised questionnaire that collects AML information directly from your business partners, with responses mapping automatically to a preconfigured AML risk dimension inside the osapiens HUB.
In this session:
- What the EU AML package (AMLR, AMLD6, AMLA) actually changes, and the timeline to July 2027 — with Tax Justice Network and Black Board’s perspective
- Inside the Financial Secrecy Index: what it measures, and why jurisdiction-level secrecy data belongs in AML due diligence
- The AML Questionnaire: collecting standardised AML data from business partners, mapped automatically to risk
- Live walkthrough in the osapiens HUB
