Finding Your Real PPWR Obligations
Regulation (EU) 2025/40, PPWR, has applied generally since August 12, 2026, layering a long list of requirements onto packaging placed on the EU market — recyclability design criteria, recycled-content minimums, reuse targets, harmonised labelling, restricted substances — with obligations phasing in on different dates through 2030 and beyond.
The problem is, PPWR doesn’t apply uniformly. Which obligations apply to a given packaging, and from when, depends on a handful of applicability drivers — material, format, packaging function, intended use ... Without a quick way to answer that, teams either over-scope, building out requirements that don’t apply, or under-scope, missing ones that do.
During the webinar, we’ll show PPWR Pre Check: the entry point to osapiens’ PPWR content, where a short request collects those applicability drivers and returns the resulting obligation and deadline profile for that specific packaging unit — scoping which of the full PPWR content packages are actually relevant before any data collection begins.
In this session you will see:
- What PPWR actually requires, and why applicability varies by packaging type — pacoon’s packaging design perspective
- Inside PPWR Pre Check: how applicability drivers map to obligations and deadlines
- A live walkthrough in the osapiens HUB
- A Q&A session
If you manage packaging across multiple formats or product lines, this session shows how to scope your real PPWR obligations.
