osapiens and right. based on science (right°) have entered into an exclusive partnership to integrate the technology of right° into the osapiens HUB. This partnership enables companies to map science-based climate targets and pathways in line with the Paris Agreement directly in their reporting and thus efficiently implement their 1.5 degree roadmaps.  

To this end, right°’s X-Degree Compatibility (XDC) model, which links a company’s carbon footprint to its value creation, is embedded in osapiens’ CSRD solution (osapiens HUB for CSRD). As a result, companies can accurately calculate the climate impact of their business activities and ensure that their climate-related decisions are based on the best available science. osapiens customers can thus make informed decisions and implement measures more quickly. 

The integration specifically addresses ESRS E1 of the CSRD, which requires companies to disclose their climate change mitigation and adaptation objectives, including greenhouse gas emissions reductions, renewable energy use, and adaptation to climate risks. This information includes specific emissions targets for 2030 and 2050, their scientific basis, and an assessment of how these targets support limiting global warming to 1.5°C.  

The integration of the XDC model enables companies to measure and report their progress against these criteria. The knowledge gained from the pre-calculated corporate carbon footprint (CCF) of the osapiens HUB for CCF solution also makes a valuable contribution to meeting the targets.
