GLOBALG.A.P. is a farm assurance program for more sustainable and safer farming, translating consumer requirements into Good Agricultural Practice. Created in the late 1990s by several European supermarket chains and their major suppliers, GLOBALG.A.P. is today the world’s most widely implemented farm certification scheme. Most European and American customers for agricultural/aquacultural products now demand evidence of GLOBALG.A.P. certification as a prerequisite for doing business.
