About Me
Klaus Wiegandt is the founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Forum for Responsibility Foundation, having previously served on the Foundation’s Board of Directors for 25 years until the beginning of 2024.
His foundation promotes education, science and research, particularly in the field of sustainable development. He is the editor of 36 publications; the most recently published book “3 DEGREES MORE” deals in particular with the consequences of global warming of +3°C, which we are heading for towards the end of this century without drastic course corrections. The English edition was published in June 2024 by Springer Nature/New York.
Klaus Wiegandt was Spokesman of the Management Board of METRO AG, is co-initiator of the “ZEIT WISSEN Congress Courage for Sustainability” organized since 2013, was a member of the National Committee “Education for Sustainable Development” of the German UNESCO and received the Federal Cross of Merit for his foundation commitment.
