- Award ceremony from the capital city studio of ZDF in Berlin
The Mannheim-based software company osapiens has won the prestigious German Start-up Award in the ‘Up-and-Coming Companies’ category. Founders Alberto Zamora, Stefan Wawrzinek and Matthias Jungblut were honored for their software solutions, which make supply chains for companies and their products digital and therefore more transparent, predictable and trustworthy, at an award ceremony held yesterday evening in the ZDF capital city studio in Berlin. The jury rated osapiens’ software solutions not only as an award-winning service, but above all as an innovative tool with great market potential.
“Today more than ever, supply chains are the Achilles heel in the corporate value chain. The current global economic situation shows how topical and explosive this issue is. With our software, we want to bring transparency to global supply chains and drive forward digitalization for companies in this important business area. We are therefore particularly pleased about the jury’s recognition and this award”, said Stefan Wawrzinek, COO & co-founder of osapiens.
At the heart of osapiens’ software solution is the ‘osapiens HUB’, a cloud technology platform that uses innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence, track & trace and IoT to analyze and evaluate products and their components along the operational value chain from raw material to finished product and even through to sale to the end customer. The osapiens HUB currently has eight solutions available for companies, including the ‘osapiens HUB – supplier os’ for fully digital supply chain management to create transparency in all supply chain processes.
“It is becoming increasingly important for companies to take a close look at their own supply chains, identify risks in good time and then take targeted measures. This is exactly where we provide support with our software solutions – not least so that companies can act in compliance with the law, human rights are upheld and environmental protection requirements are observed”, said Matthias Jungblut, CPO & Co-Founder of osapiens.
The founding team has been working together for over 10 years. Even before founding osapiens in 2018, Alberto Zamora was CEO and co-founder of a company specializing in the development of cloud-based B2B software solutions for optimizing supply chain processes, where Stefan Wawrzinek and Matthias Jungblut were members of the extended Management Board. The well-rehearsed trio is convinced that the topic of ‘transparency in the supply chain’ is of the highest global relevance and will become increasingly important.
„For us, the German Founder Award is not only an award for what we have achieved so far, but above all an incentive for the future, because we want to create the world’s leading software company for transparent, predictable and trustworthy supply chains with osapiens“, said Alberto Zamora, CEO & co-founder of osapiens.
The German Founder Award is presented annually by the partners stern, Sparkasse, ZDF and Porsche in the categories ‘Student’, ‘Startup’, ‘Rising Star’ and ‘Lifetime Achievement’ and thus honors outstanding entrepreneurial achievements in different phases of a company. The German Entrepreneur Award is supported by a high-caliber board of trustees, which sponsors the finalists and award winners. The sponsors of the German Start-up Award are Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA, Gruner + Jahr GmbH, Süddeutsche Zeitung and the insurance companies of the savings banks. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection is a cooperation partner. It is one of the most prestigious awards in Germany and was presented for the 20th time this year.
