Operational Excellence from Origin to Shipment.
Reuse the origin data you already have and connect it to every relevant lot and shipment. osapiens brings supplier evidence, farm and origin data, deforestation and legality risk, DDS workflows and audit evidence into one integrated process - embedded in existing trading, purchasing and ERP workflows.
You have the origin data. But can you connect it to every shipment?
You already have evidence. Connect the dots with osapiens.
Soy supply chains can already hold substantial upstream information across supplier systems, certificates, farm polygons, national datasets and chain-of-custody documentation. The evidence can exist and still be difficult to operationalize.
Reuse existing origin data and streamline the process
Relevant information may already exist across supplier, national and certification systems, but not in a structure that can be reused directly for each transaction.
Collect only what is missing
Indirect sourcing can reduce the direct link between a commercial lot and the farms or production areas behind it.
Use automatic supplier outreach to close data gaps where origin information is incomplete.
Rolling window aggregation
Batches converge in storage and transport. The origin set behind a relevant lot must remain reconstructable without manual reconciliation.
Content needed
Maintain and store evudebce
Origin, chain-of-custody, risk decisions and declarations must remain connected when evidence is requested later.
Preserve decisions for reuse. Maintain and store the evidence needed for audits and customer requests without another document hunt.
Origin visibility is fundamental to responsible soy sourcing.
01 Production origin
Plantations and smallholder plots where the commodity is produced. The challenge: many plots lack formal land titles and digital mapping, making it highly complex to collect the mandatory geolocation data and prove deforestation-free origin.
02 Collection / supplier
Origin data begins to aggregate across suppliers and sourcing networks. The challenge: with many intermediaries, plot data gets lost or mixed, and traceability back to the origin breaks.
03 Silo
Multiple origins converge, making the connection to relevant plots operationally important. The challenge: batches from many plots are mixed during processing, so the exact origin of the soymeal is hard to document.
04 Crushing Plant
Processing blends and fractionates bulk products across multiple steps. When oil from various mills is mixed, the traceable link to the original plots of land is easily severed, complicating EUDR compliance.
05 Downstream product
Keep origin, transaction, and compliance data connected as materials move onward. The challenge: multiple handovers and processing stages risk breaking the chain of custody, making it difficult to pass on valid Due Diligence Statements (DDS).
Reach the smallholders behind the mill.
Collect or ingest plot geolocation, validate it, and assess deforestation and legality risk plot by plot. Missing registration and land-status evidence goes to suppliers as structured requests instead of email chains.
Different origins, different legal requirements. The same need for traceability and geolocation.
Most soymeal enters the EU from Brazil, followed by Argentina and Paraguay. What counts as legal production depends on the country. What you need to prove does not.
Legality
Acceptable land rights, permits, registrations and other requirements look different for every country.
Traceability
Traceability across the full supply chain requires linking the product to mills, collection points and plots - no mass balance allowed.
Geolocation
Accessibility of valid plot-level coordinates is not the same across countries. Some origins require workarounds and extra validation.
Country benchmark as set by the European Commission in May 2025. Figures on smallholder area and MSPO coverage are industry and public-sector estimates and change over time.
Built for the reality of soy supply chains.
Existing evidence & supplier data
Reuse origin, farm and supporting documentation and collect only missing data.
Supplier data collection
Close geolocation and documentation gaps through structured supplier workflows.
Bulk & silo traceability
Maintain a structured connection between origin sets, storage, lots and shipments.
Deforestation & legality risk
Assess production origins with AI Agents at scale and route exceptions for expert review.
ERP & API integration
Embed EUDR into existing purchasing, trading and logistics processes instead of creating a parallel workflow.
Declarations & audit trail
Automate declaration workflows, retain reference information and preserve the evidence behind each decision.
Operational excellence starts with connecting the evidence you already have to every relevant transaction.
