Corporate Sustainability across Europe
With the ‘Green Deal’, the EU has launched a set of measures focused on respecting human rights and protecting the environment, with the aim of making sustainable corporate governance the European standard. At the heart of these measures is the creation of transparency by regulating the supply chains and value chains of European companies.
European Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive
In March 2024, the European Parliament and the Council agreed on the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). The aim of the CSDDD (“CS Triple D”) is to protect the environment and human rights worldwide. The directive currently applies to companies operating in the EU with more than 1,000 employees and a turnover of 450 million euros.
Implementation and Compliance with the CSDDD
At the core of this European directive is the due diligence obligation in the supply chain. The law will affect around 5,500 companies across Europe. The CSDDD requires the collection, processing and preparation of large amounts of data. The osapiens HUB for Due Diligence offers a digital, fast and compliant implementation of all due diligence obligations.
