TÜV Rheinland has officially certified the Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) methodology developed by osapiens. The certification confirms that the calculation methodology used within the osapiens HUB for CCF meets the requirements of the globally recognized Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol standard.
TÜV Rheinland is a leading global provider of independent testing, inspection and certification services. As part of its sustainability offering, it audits and certifies carbon footprint methodologies and life cycle assessments (LCA) to ensure compliance with standards such as the GHG Protocol and the ISO 14000 family of standards.
After a comprehensive evaluation, TÜV Rheinland confirmed that the osapiens methodology is scientifically validated and reflects the latest industry standards for carbon footprint calculations. The evaluation included a detailed review of the emission factor sources used, the structure of data collection and reporting, the reproducibility of calculation results, and the transparency of user documentation.
The methodology forms the basis of the osapiens HUB for CCF, an end-to-end solution that enables companies to calculate and manage their corporate carbon footprint in compliance with global ESG and climate regulations. TÜV Rheinland also reviewed the onboarding materials and product guidance provided to users to ensure that the methodology is effectively applied in practice.
The certification verifies that the osapiens CCF calculation methodology, in combination with the documentation provided, enables users to generate GHG Protocol-compliant corporate carbon footprints. However, users remain responsible for the correct application of the tool and the completeness of their input data. Additionally, the certification applies only to the methodology itself. Companies wishing to have their own Corporate Carbon Footprint certified must undergo a separate audit process to verify their specific calculations and reporting.
