Certirex was founded in 2020 by young entrepreneurs Jonathan Markgraf, Christoph Treiber and Max Braunwell. The goal was and is to develop a software-as-a-service solution that enables brands to add and manage unique digital identities to their physical products so that consumers can authenticate their products and receive relevant information in digital form.

The technical implementation involves simply adding NFC tags and QR codes to the product or product packaging. Consumers can scan the product with their cell phone and access the digital identity on the Internet with all related content. This allows brands to dynamically change the content displayed and analyze the interactions of your target audiences in real time.

Certirex was already funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy in 2021 based on a resolution of the German Bundestag. Now the startup has been acquired by osapiens. The goal is to integrate this innovative technology into osapiens software solutions as a new product (‘osapiens Brand os’) and thus create more added value for the customer and the end user.
