We currently feel well prepared for the future regarding the EUDR because we have a strong partner with osapiens to implement all the regulatory requirements. EGGER is one of the leading producers of wood-based panels. Now we have 22 plants mainly in Europe but also outside from Europe. So sustainability is at the very core of the company because we are producing wood- based products as we are targeting towards net zero and also to achieve our goals. We of course welcome new regulations that are built for having more accountability on environmental issues. So it’s a really good thing for
us that on EU base we have a regulation to make sure that we have less or the best case non deforestation worldwide. The other side is that’s really a big amount of data that we have to collect. We have to make sure that uh we have all the data and conformity checks in our systems before we get our wood into our plant. Given that our processes are pretty complex, we knew that we need a partner or a provider who can cover these topics. And to prepare ourselves, we are um currently building up uh system based solutions. And here we work with osapiens as a strong partner to get it done more efficiently and also to reduce um bureaucratic efforts. The hub itself was set up pretty smoothly, so we didn’t have big issues there. Also, the connector to our SAP system was installed quite easily. The most important thing why we choose osapiens as our EUDR software was that they have a supplier portal where suppliers can bring in all the
information and don’t have to pay for it. The biggest advantage it’s uh automation
for us. It’s the background data we get and the connection to the EU portal. Right now we have a groupwide project on calculating our product footprint. So in the future we will have a lot more data and of course we need to process it. So that’s something we would probably require in the future as well. It feels good to work with the osapiens and they are listening to our topics to our problems to our needs we have and if it’s possible they fulfill it and create solutions for us.
