About Me
Robert Römer trained as a butcher and studied oecotrophology at the Hochschule Niederrhein in Mönchengladbach. From 2002 to 2020, Römer held various positions at QS Qualität und Sicherheit GmbH, most recently as Head of Meat, Meat Products and Food Retail. He joined the coordination team of the Initiative Tierwohl in 2012. Since 2020, Robert Römer has also worked as an authorised signatory for the Gesellschaft zur Förderung des Tierwohls in der Nutztierhaltung mbH and has been Managing Director of the Animal Welfare Initiative since May 2021.
