Sandra Uwera Murasa

Sandra is the Global Chief Executive Officer at Fairtrade International, a leading global organization that works to empower producers and consumers to trade fairly and sustainably. She is a Fellow at Eisenhower Fellowships, a prestigious program that connects and inspires leaders from around the world to create positive change in their communities and fields of expertise. She brings more than 20 years of experience at a Senior and Executive management level in private sector development, Business and trade policy negotiations and advocacy, and strategic planning and execution. She has worked in Eastern and Southern Africa and International Markets in Europe, Latin America, North Asia and Pacific. 

Sandra’s expertise is in senior/executive leadership, program management, multi-stakeholder relations, strategic negotiations, resource mobilization, and building strong teams. She is passionate about industry inclusion and sustainability, and has established and worked closely in regional and international markets with strong engagements and partnerships with governments, corporate industries, producers and other private sector actors in Africa and International Markets.
